Finding the perfect beach wedding shoes is tricky. Many brides dream of a destination wedding and many destination weddings occur on the white sand beaches of exotic locations. I am one of those brides who would want to get married on the beach someday and one of the things that about beach weddings is the footwear.

As appealing as walking down on the aisle in my bare feet is, it isn’t an option. For one thing, I don’t want my feet to be sandy and grainy when I exchange vows with the man I’m about to marry. Flats are a good choice for any bride wanting to get married on the beach. Whether it be a slip-on or a close toe shoe, flats are always comfortable. And who’s to say that flats can’t be stylish. With the right shoe accessories, flats can be as fabulous and sexy as sky high stilettos. Another beach wedding shoes for bride can be espadrille wedges. Many of us wear espadrille wedges on our summer vacations. It wouldn’t be that off base to wear a fancier version of one on our wedding day.

Wedding Beach Shoes Should Be Comfortable

The comfort level of shoes for a beach wedding is non-negotiable. It should be a priority. Unless you’re getting married on the pier, only certain kinds of shoes work well on fine sand. You should be able to walk down the aisle without tumbling over so skip the stilettos. If you still find wedges a tad difficult to walk in, then wear flats. After all, beach weddings are more relaxed. You don’t have to be as dolled up as if you’re getting married in a fancy ballroom.

Many flats and wedges come in an array of styles and colors. You can buy one with feathers or glitter or rhinestones. It depends on your personal style. You can also get one with sea shells or carved polished stones. That will go well with the beach wedding theme.

Flip-Flops May Not Be Your First Choice To Wear On Your Wedding But It’s Also A Good Choice

White Wedding Shoes, don’t wear the kind of flip flop you usually wear when you’re out and about. Flip-flops are affordable so I’m sure you can get one customized and it will look personal and fancy even if it’s rubber footwear. Of course, if you wear flip-flops to your wedding day, it’s better if your groom also wears one. It won’t look as good if you’re husband-to-be is wearing a pair of fancy loafers. It’ll look more awkward if your guests are dressed in fancier footwear than you. So if you decide to wear flip flops, inform your guests. Better yet, give them flip flops as souvenirs from your wedding.

Beach weddings are almost always an intimate affair. It takes a lot of planning and a more flexible budget to have one. But with the right amount of work and effort put into the tiniest of details, you’re sure to have a beautiful wedding.
